The board allocates a substantial budget for this spectacle, amounting to lakhs of rupees per match. With two matches scheduled each day, the BCB's expenditure surpasses two lakh rupees.
Approximately 70 sets of fireworks are ignited per match, requiring the preparation of 140 firecracker boxes for both matches. Each firecracker box carries a price tag of 1500 rupees, totaling to 1 lakh five thousand taka for 70 boxes. Consequently, the daily expenditure for two matches amounts to 2 lakh 10 thousand taka.
The ongoing BPL tournament consists of 44 matches. When extrapolated for the entire duration of the event, the cumulative expenditure on fireworks tallies to approximately 46 and a half lakh rupees. Notably, additional fireworks are showcased during the opening ceremony and the final match, leading to a total expenditure of around 50 lakh rupees solely dedicated to fireworks.
