Shakib is not ending his career now
From the T20 World Cup, the voice was raised - Shakib Al Hasan no longer plays in this format. Virender Sehwag himself made this announcement. Shakib and Mahmudullah, who faded in the World Cup, have also demanded retirement in the country's cricket community. But Shakib is yet to come clean about his career.
Shakib flew to the US on Tuesday evening to play in the Major Cricket League. After that he will also play in Canada's Global T20 League. This famous all-rounder of Bangladesh said that he will check his status by playing in these two franchise leagues. Then decide on a career.
Shakib told reporters present at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, "I have no plans for my career. Now the plan is for now, there are two T20 tournaments ahead. Major League and Global T20. After playing two tournaments in a row, see how you are doing. Then there is the international series, the Test series with Pakistan. So, that's the plan for now. I didn't plan too much."
Shakib is not unaware of the criticism that is going on in the country and outside the country's cricket arena. He himself has said that there is no scope for long-term career planning. For now, his focus is on the Pakistan series, “Actually, you need to understand yourself. In fact, now is not the time to plan for three or four years. It is better to plan for three months to six months. For now there are plans till the Pakistan series.”
