Batting earlier on Monday, HPK got off to a great start. The opening pair of Tanjid Hasan Tamim and Zeeshan Alam collected 73 runs on the board in 8.3 overs at a run rate of about 9. The pace of that run was interrupted as the two openers went back in two consecutive balls. Tanjid scored 28 runs off 29 balls but Zeeshan played an innings of 38 runs off 23 balls.
After that Parvez Hossain Emon scored runs with the bat like in the first match. The left-handed batsman was unbeaten in the end after scoring 39 runs off 29 balls. Besides, Afif scored 10 runs off 6 balls, Akbar scored 20 runs off 17 balls, and Shamim returned with 13 runs off 12 balls. Ronnie remained unbeaten on 6 runs off 4 balls. In response, the HP bowlers were leading the team to victory. But Tasmania wicket-keeper batsman Jack Doran single-handedly turned the match around. His unbeaten innings of 71 runs from 37 balls saw Tasmania win with 3 balls to spare. HP's Rakibul Hasan took a couple of wickets.
