Shoaib Malik's Abrupt Departure from BPL
Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik made an unexpected exit from the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Dhaka phase following its conclusion. Malik, who was representing Fortune Barisal this season, departed Dhaka without prior notice. The Barisal franchise officially confirmed his departure, stating that he had travelled to Dubai for personal matters, consequently ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Reports indicate that Malik's departure from the BPL is due to family reasons. Following his last match for Barisal, he departed Dhaka for Dubai, where he informed team management about a familial issue, subsequently declaring his unavailability for the ongoing tournament.
Malik's BPL stint comprised three matches, during which he amassed 29 runs and secured one wicket. His contributions included a score of 17 in the first match and 5 and 7 runs in subsequent games. Regrettably, Tamim Iqbal's team suffered defeats in two out of three matches during Malik's tenure.
