Minister Papon Visits National Sports Council on First Day
Nazmul Hasan Papon, the newly appointed Minister of Youth and Sports, commenced his official duties with a warm welcome from the ministry and the National Sports Council. The overwhelming presence at the stadium, particularly in the National Sports Council, marked the occasion.
Various federations, including the Bangladesh Football Federation, joined in extending their greetings. Despite the presence of presidents and general secretaries from several federations, Buffe had only one vice-president and two members in attendance, accompanied by the general secretary and federation staff.
During the visit, Minister Papon inquired about the health of BAF President Kazi Salahuddin, currently recovering from bypass surgery. Imran Hossain Tushar, the general secretary of the federation, shared, "The honorable minister asked us about the physical condition of our president and expressed his desire to visit." Although Papon did not explicitly mention visiting Salahuddin at home, his concern for the president's well-being was evident.
President Kazi Salahuddin, who recently returned home after a 25-day hospital stay following bypass surgery, is currently under intensive care at home until January 30. His public appearances are expected to resume after consulting with doctors at the end of January.
