Rachin and others were presented with the award at the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) awards ceremony in Christchurch today. Apart from Racine, Kane Williamson in Tests, Daryl Mitchell in ODIs and Mitchell Santner in T20s won the Player of the Year award.
Amelia Carr won the Women's Cricket Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. The 23-year-old all-rounder won the 'Debbie Hockley Medal' and won the ODI, T20 and Super Smash Women's Cricketer of the Year awards.
Rachin has been in the limelight since his debut in New Zealand's Jersey in November 2021. Racine stole all the limelight in the ODI World Cup. He scored 578 runs with three centuries and two fifties in the 2023 World Cup. Won the ICC Emerging Player of the Year in January.
