Bangladesh 'A' team will play two four-day matches and three one-day matches against Pakistan 'A' team. Mohammad Saifuddin is also staying with Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar on this trip.

BCB announced two teams for two four-day matches. Bangladesh Test team players like Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Muminul Haque, Naeem Hasan, Hasan Mahmud are in the first four-day match. These six cricketers were again not included in the squad for the 'A' team's second four-day match. Soumya Sarkar, Naeem Sheikh, Saif Hasan, Zaker Ali Anik, Tawheed Hriday and Mohammad Saifuddin are from the national team in their place in the second match. Saifuddin, who has been away from the red ball for a long time due to injury, last played first-class cricket in the BCL in December 2022.

The selectors of BCB have given the team despite the 50 over series against Pakistan 'A' team. The 15-member team consists of Tanzim Hasan Shakib, Tawheed Hriday, Rishad Hossain, Zaker Ali Anik — well-known faces of white-ball cricket. Soumya, Enamul Haque Vijay, Ruel Miah, Rezaur Rahman Raja, who are in the four-day match series, have also been included in the 50-over match against the Pakistan 'A' team.

The first four-day match between Bangladesh and Pakistan 'A' team will start on August 10. The second match will start on August 17. There will be three ODIs on August 23, 25 and 27. All five matches of the series will be played in Islamabad. The Bangladesh-Pakistan two-match Test series will be held during the 'A' team series. The first Test of the series will begin on August 21 in Rawalpindi. The second Test between the two teams will begin on August 30 at the National Stadium in Karachi. The two-match Test series is part of the ICC 2023-25 Test Championship.
