In a bid to elevate the commentary experience for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), organizers have revamped the commentator panel, bringing in seasoned voices for an enhanced viewer experience.
Former Pakistani cricketer Ramiz Raja, also the ex-president of the Pakistan Cricket Board, is set to make his debut as a commentator in the BPL. Joining him is his compatriot Amir Sohail, who has previously lent his commentary skills to the BPL. The duo adds to the international flavor, with the inclusion of Sir Courtley Ambrose from the Caribbean Islands and South Africa's HD Ackerman.
Sri Lanka's Russell Arnold is another notable addition, making his first appearance as a BPL commentator. The commentary team comprises a total of nine individuals, with four local commentators—Atahar Ali Khan, Shamim Ashraf Chowdhury, Sanyadh Ghosh, and Mazhar Uddin Ami—joining the international experts.
The much-anticipated tenth season of the BPL is scheduled to commence on January 19. The opening day will witness a clash between Comilla Victorians and Great Dhaka at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Later in the day, Sylhet Sixers will face off against Chittagong Challengers.
Spread across Dhaka, Sylhet, and Chittagong, the tournament will feature a total of 46 matches over 43 days. Comilla Victorians, Rangpur Riders, Sylhet Strikers, Fortune Barisal, Chittagong Challengers, Khulna Tigers, and Great Dhaka will vie for supremacy, with the competition concluding on March 1."
