Adding to the roster for the tenth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Dhaka Dynamites have successfully recruited Australian middle-order batsman Alex Ross. The team, led by Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, has also welcomed right-arm pacer Enamul Haque into their ranks.
Alex Ross, a seasoned 31-year-old batsman, brings a wealth of T20 experience to Dhaka, having played 114 recognized T20 matches in his career. With a strike rate of 126.74, Ross has accumulated 2,090 runs, showcasing his prowess in the format. He previously represented the Big Bash team Brisbane Heat and participated in various domestic T20 leagues for franchises like Jamaica Talawas and Dambulla Ora. Ross recently played for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League.
The newly signed Australian cricketer arrived in Dhaka at 12:40 pm on Saturday and is set to make his debut for Dhaka Dynamites against Chittagong Challengers in Mirpur next Monday.
In addition to the international recruit, Dhaka Dynamites have also enlisted the services of 23-year-old pacer Enamul Haque. With experience in 17 first-class matches and 14 List A matches, Enamul has recently represented Central Zone in the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) and Dhaka Division in the National Cricket League (NCL). The addition of these talented players is expected to enhance the squad's strength and competitiveness in the upcoming BPL season."
