The upcoming eleventh season of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) in the ODI format is set to kick off next Sunday, featuring two matches over three days at Cox's Bazar Stadium and Cox's Bazar Outer Stadium on December 24, 26, and 28. The tournament will include cricketers from the victorious U-19 Asia Cup team, as announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday night. This decision by the Game Development Department aims to keep the young cricketers active in the game.

Ashiqur Rahman Shibli, the top run-scorer of the Youth Asia Cup, will represent the South Zone alongside leg-spinner Wasi Siddique. Additionally, Zeeshan Alam, Ariful Islam, and youth team captain Mahfizur Rahman Rabi will feature for the Central Zone, while Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan will represent the North Zone. The one-day format of the BCL will exclusively feature batsmen, with youth team pacers given a rest.

The tournament will see the participation of four teams – Central, South, East, and North – competing in the BCL ODI format. The top two teams in the points table among these four will advance to the final, scheduled for December 30 at 12:30 PM at the Home of Cricket, Mirpur.
