Sylhet Strikers Begin BPL Practice Sans Mashrafe
As the Sylhet phase of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) approaches, slated to commence on January 26, all participating teams have converged in Sylhet to gear up for the upcoming matches. However, the Sylhet Strikers commenced their training sessions without their captain, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.
The Sylhet Strikers initiated their practice sessions at field number two of the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, January 25, despite the absence of Mashrafe. Sources from the Sylhet ownership confirmed that Mashrafe is expected to arrive in Sylhet later in the night.
Having played two matches thus far without securing a win, the Sylhet Strikers find themselves at the bottom of the points table. Unfortunately, Captain Mashrafe's leadership has been hampered by his inability to contribute with the ball due to ongoing injuries.
In light of his physical condition, Mashrafe acknowledges that his performance isn't optimal and asserts that he's playing at the franchise's behest. With an upcoming match against the Comilla Victorians scheduled for 7 pm tomorrow, all eyes are on the Sylhet Strikers to see if they can turn their fortunes around in the Sylhet leg of the tournament.
