Despite losing the toss and being put in to bat, India enjoyed a stellar beginning, with Jaiswal providing a flying start, contributing 50 runs in the opening power play. Subsequently, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma showcased impressive batting, propelling India to a total of 174 runs, though they lost 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

In the pursuit of the challenging target, Travis Head displayed aggressive intent for Australia. However, the team struggled to meet the 40-run requirement in the last two overs of the match.
