In addition to the prestigious title, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced an impressive prize fund. The Protea Board will bestow a staggering 70 million rand in South African currency, equivalent to just over 40 million rupees in Bangladeshi currency.
With CSA's announcement, SA Twenty now ranks second among franchise T20 leagues with the highest prize money, following in the footsteps of the IPL.
