Sri Lanka Cricket Board president Shammi Silva proposed Jay Shah's name as ACC president at the annual general meeting in Bali today (January 31) on Wednesday. That proposal was unanimously accepted and Jai Shah became president for a third term.

Joy Shah was elected ACC president for the first time in 2021 after the tenure of Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papon. After that under his leadership ACC organized 2022 in T20 format and 2023 Asia Cup in ODI format.
Elected as the president for the third term, Jai Shah said, 'I am grateful to the ACC Board for consistently trusting me. We must focus on the all-round development of this game. Especially to those regions where the game is still in its infancy. ACC is committed to nursing cricket across Asia.
