Yuvraj Singh Eyes In Coaching Career
Yuvraj Singh, the iconic figure behind India's dual World Cup victories, including the memorable six sixes in six balls, is now setting his sights on a coaching career. Having secured T20 and ODI World Cup triumphs for India in 2007 and 2011, Yuvraj expressed his aspiration to contribute to the sport by becoming a cricket coach.
Joining the ranks of former cricketers turned coaches like Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Gautam Gambhir, and Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj inaugurated his cricket academy in Kolkata. During the event, he shared, "My two children are still young. Once they start school, I will have more time. I have a passion for working with children and am open to coaching in the IPL. I plan to commence coaching when the opportunity arises."
Yuvraj's enthusiasm extends to his cricket academy, named the 'Yuvraj Singh Center of Excellence.' Reflecting on his dream project, he stated, "I had envisioned establishing an academy long before retiring from cricket. Domestic cricket provides the best platform to secure a spot in the Indian team, and dedicated practice is crucial for success. This initiative is aimed at nurturing talent and providing opportunities for aspiring cricketers."
