The Barisal franchise confirmed this information in an official statement. They say that experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik will join Fortune Barisal again on February 3. He will play the February 3 match against Khulna in Sylhet phase of BPL.

Shoaib Malik has been in discussion since the beginning of this year's BPL. On the day he played the first match, he announced his third marriage on social media. It is known that he broke up with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza several months ago.

Controversy about him was not less in BPL matches too. It was he who sparked controversy with 3 no balls in one over in a match. Shoaib gave 18 runs in that over which got buzz against Khulna. He had to digest two fours and a six. Barisal lost by 8 runs in that match.

Cricket fans and supporters also expressed doubts about Shoaib's over. However, Barisal and Shoaib have dispelled that doubt. The owner of the team in a video on Barisal's Facebook page. Mizanur Rahman said, "For the past few days, I have been hearing various talks (fixing rumours) about Shoaib Malik. I strongly object to this. Shoaib Malik is a good player. He gave us his best game.
