The sanctions, announced by the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit, follow the confirmation of three charges under the Anti-Corruption Act, to which Nasir has admitted guilt. As per the ICC's conditions, Nasir Hossain may be eligible to return to international cricket from April 7, 2025, provided he fulfills all the stipulated requirements.
Nasir Hossain, who represented Bangladesh in 65 ODIs, 31 T20Is, and 19 Test matches from August 14, 2011, to January 25, 2018, accumulated 2,695 runs with two centuries and 14 fifties. Additionally, he participated in 115 international matches as a bowler, claiming 39 wickets. Despite being labeled a 'former' due to disciplinary issues in the national team, Nasir remains active in domestic cricket.
