The meeting saw changes in the list of franchises participating in the BPL. The previous three franchises have dropped out. Farooq Ahmed said that the previous Comilla Victorians, great Dhaka, Chittagong Challengers franchises are not present in this year's BPL. Rajshahi, who played a few seasons ago, is returning to the BPL. And Dhaka and Chittagong are coming under new management. The name of Dhaka may be Dhaka Nawab.
After the meeting, BCB president Farooq Ahmed told reporters, "We have talked a lot about BPL. Our three teams have been swapped in this tournament. We interviewed the new arrivals. I tried to know why they want to come to BPL, why they want to invest. Their only demand was revenue share in BPL. We told them, not possible at this point. But we will go to revenue share from next season.
