The Bangladesh Cricket Board informed the matter in a press release on Tuesday.
Hemp has been working with the HP team since May last year. He also toured New Zealand with the national team. This time he has been made the batting coach of the national team.
Besides, former New Zealand all-rounder Andre Adams has been appointed as bowling coach. BCB signed a two-year contract with both of them.
They will work from the upcoming Sri Lanka series.
Hemper has done ECB level 4 coaching. He has more than 15 thousand runs in first class cricket. Played for teams like Glamorgan, Yorkshire. Hemp played 24 ODIs for Bermuda. He was the head coach of Pakistan women's team from 2020 to 2022.
Adams has played 47 matches for New Zealand across all formats. He has worked with various teams in a coaching career spanning more than a decade. He was the bowling coach for the recent New Zealand team's tour of Pakistan.
