The upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to kick off in five days, marking the beginning of its tenth season. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has recently unveiled the finalized list of umpires for this year's tournament. Among them, three are international umpires, while the remaining nine are local officials.
In an effort to enhance the quality of umpires, the Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) Umpires Committee recently conducted an English language proficiency test for 70 umpires. Unfortunately, only 9 umpires managed to pass the test, while the remaining 61 fell short.
